I have a Sony TV and a large Surround Sound system, but I have a problem?

OK I can get the sound of my system surround sound with your DVD and the photo to enter my tv. I do so with a high red and yellow cables, but I can not get my TV sound on surround sound Please tell me why

I think that the decoder has an option for audio output through RCA. But you can connect the decoder to the TV, then run the RCA TV with DVD Receiver. if the DVD system has no phono input so you can not use.
